Introduzione

INGREDIENTS

๐ŸŒฟ2 cups of fresh basil 
๐ŸŒฟ1 tbsp of pine nuts 
๐ŸŒฟ1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil 
๐ŸŒฟ2 tbsp of parmigiano reggiano 
๐ŸŒฟ1/2 clove of garlic 
๐ŸŒฟsalt (as much you like)

  • salt as much you likeq.b.

  • cups of fresh basil2ย 

  • tbsp pine nuts1ย 

  • tbsp parmigiano Reggiano2ย 

  • cup extra virgin olive oilq.b.

  • garlic cloveยฝย 

Procedimento

STEP 1

๐ŸŒฟWash the basil leaves and process them in a mortar until they release their oil from their leaves ( a few minutes).

STEP 2

๐ŸŒฟ Add pine nuts, garlic, parmigiano and extravirgin olive oil and combine it all until you obtain a creamy texture.

Lo chef consiglia:
๐ŸŒฟUse organic large basil leaves. I buy my basil at the @beverlyhillsfarmersmarket  ๐ŸŒฟI donโ€™t like the heavy garlic flavor so I only use 1/2 clove, but you are welcome to use more garlic. Totally up to you!  ๐ŸŒฟ The pesto made in a mortar has more texture.  ๐ŸŒฟ I get my extra-virgin olive oil and parmigiano reggiano from @eatalyla. For a good pesto you need good quality ingredients!
